Is fishing your game? More than 120 glacial lakes dot the northeastern part of the state. Anglers who travel to this rolling farm and ranch country will find that the lakes range in size from several acres to more than 17,000 acres. Waubay, Roy, Buffalo, Clear, Lake Traverse, Red Iron, and many more lakes are just minutes away from your cabin. Whether you want to use our guides or prefer to strike out on your own, we’ll try to put you on the hot spots.

Fishing Fees:

• $100.00/day/person (Minimum of 2 people)
  Includes boat, tackle, bait, and fish cleaning.
• A valid SD fishing license is required.

Ranch Excursion
Prairie Sky Ranch consists of rolling hills and wooded areas with trails winding through the high Coteau des Prairies of northeast South Dakota. There are approximately 2,000 acres to explore. From the ranch you can see two other states and almost touch the stars at night. More than 200 buffalo and a few Texas longhorns also call the ranch home along with an abundance of wildlife. Tours are 11⁄2-2 hours long. Please call for reservations, 800.587.2411. Minimum fee for a ride is $115.

Ranch Excursion Fees:

• Group (10 or more): $32 per person
• Children (under 12): $28

Horseback Riding
Whether you are a family looking for a western style adventure or someone who loves to ride horse, Prairie Sky will make sure your time at the ranch is a quality experience. With more than 2,000 private acres and three state parks nearby, you will find there is plenty of room to roam. You may ride a gentle, well-broke saddle horse from the ranch or bring your own horse. Horseback Riding Fees:

• Half-Day Trail Ride: $50.00/person
  • Children (8-12 years of age): $35.00/person
• Full-Day Trail Ride: $100.00/person
  • Children (8-12 years of age): $70.00/person
    
  Minimum party of 2. Children must be 8 years of age and accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Horse Boarding Fees:

• Paddock: $10.00/day
• Box Stall: $20.00/day

Also, please note that for all our activities:

• A 25% deposit reserves your space at the ranch. Deposits are non-refundable.
  
• Airport pickup and delivery can be arranged for $150 per trip ($300 roundtrip).
• South Dakota sales tax of 5.5% will be added to the total bill.
  
• Guide and staff gratuities are not included.
