About Our Camps
We know you will love Prairie Sky Ranch for your summer horse camp adventure! We are looking forward to your arrival Summer, 2008. Make sure you are here between 3-5 p.m. on the Sunday of your camp week. We will show you and your parents around, get you situated in your cabin and get to know everyone on the staff at Prairie Sky. Bruce and Corrine are the managers of Prairie Sky. You will meet your camp counselors. We are all anxious to meet you and are looking forward to a great week at camp!

We all love horses and having fun! We have many riding adventures and ranch activities planned for you. We will ride twice a day, once each morning and again every afternoon. Swimming at one of our nearby lakes, an overnight campout in Knight's Canyon with Bruce, a bonfire in front of the lodge, and pitchfork steakfry will be some of the other activities we will be enjoying too!

We have many horses at the ranch. They are all quarter-horse geldings and range from beginner horses to intermediate and advanced. Our rides take us out on the open prairie, around many lakes and wooded areas and we have an outdoor arena for training and our end of the week horseshow! Our horses do not follow in a single line, one behind the other as in most traditional camp settings. We have horses with many levels of ability and make sure to match each rider with a horse that fits their abilities. Often throughout the week, our campers change up to a horse with more abilities as they learn and progress and become more confident. There is arena instruction regarding barrel racing and pole bending as well.

All of our meals and snacks are prepared in the main lodge by our cooks and staff. Everything is homemade and absolutely delicious! You will never leave the table hungry and there are always great desserts!

Make sure your parents/guardians are back to pick you up in time to see you in our end of the week horseshow so you can show off all you have learned during your stay with us. The only extra monies you need to bring would be for the pop machine and for our great gift shop if you want to purchase clothing or a super souvenir to remember your special time with us!
